WHO WE ARE

SINGAPORE UNBOUND is an exciting new non-profit dedicated to free and open cultural exchange between Singapore and the USA. We organize literary events (Singapore Literature Festival in NYC and the Second Saturdays Reading Series), publish works of high merit (Singapore Poetry and Bench Press), and collaborate with writers, artists, and cultural organizations in New York City to build people-to-people understanding. We aim to be independent, innovative, and inspiring.

SINGAPORE LITERATURE FESTIVAL IN NYC (SLF NYC) is a biennial literary festival that brings together Singaporean and American authors and audiences for conversations about literature and society. Started in 2014, the 2nd Festival will be held this year from September 28 – 30. For more details on this year’s exciting programming, please visit our website.

SECOND SATURDAYS READING SERIES is a monthly literary salon held in various private homes around New York City, and open to all. We have featured Vijay Seshadri, Monique Truong, James Hannaham, Jason Koo, Patricia Park, Naomi Jackson, Martha Cooley, and Amanda Lee Koe, among others. Upcoming features include Chinelo Okparanta, Claudia Serea, and Naomi Novik. Like us on Facebook.
