You Are Invited to an Evening of Food, Literature, Music, and Art

We’re excited to invite you to a captivating evening of food, literature, music, and art at the National Opera Center (330 7^th Ave, Manhattan) on Thursday, June 16, 7:30 pm, to benefit the 2^nd Singapore Literature Festival in NYC. The festival brings together Singaporean and American authors and audiences for in-depth conversations about literature and society. Please join us for a wonderful evening and champion our unique literary festival in New York City!

Chef Kian Lam Kho, winner of the Julia Child Book Award for Phoenix Claws and Jade Trees, presents an inspiring menu for the occasion. Jakarta-born baritone Angky Budiardjono performs a delectable selection of classics. And Gina Apostol gives you a taste of the festival by reading from her novel The Gundealers’ Daughter, winner of the PEN/Open Book Award. There is also a special auction of art works by Singaporean artists Hong-Ling Wee, Jason Wee, Boedi Widjaja, Melinda Lauw, and Colin Goh. Ken Chen, the Executive Director of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop, graces the occasion as the Guest-of-honor.
